Greener City for All Award

We are thrilled to be the 2020 recipient of Toronto Environmental Alliance’s Greener City for All Award! Announced on December 8th at TEA’s annual Greener City Celebration.

TEA gives this award to a local hero that has demonstrated innovation in making Toronto an equitable and sustainable city.

We are especially humbled to be acknowledged in this time of extreme need. So many social agencies have had to close their doors—numerous, awesome NGOs and individuals have stepped in to fill the gap. The award recognizes our work in Toronto’s St. James Town where our focus has been community development that builds social networks and Neighbours Helping Neighbours climate impact preparedness programs.

If you would like to donate to our virtual program on mitigating isolation, Women Get Together During Covid please follow this link to the MakeWay Charitable Society shared platform. Donations will buy tablets and wifi access.
